Okay, sorry for the somewhat lame political reference here, but after visiting Penn Preview Day yesterday, by the end of the day I made my final decision. Penn, all the way. The day solidified everything I had hoped that it would and the decision was right for me. Spent a sunny 90 degree day at Cornell on Saturday prior to heading to Philly, and while it was good and you can't go wrong there either, Penn won my vote hands down. Thanks to all for your advice and tips along the way.

ps: It was an amazing day to be visiting campus as well, with all of the political hoopla going on. Hillary was going to be on campus for a rally at 8pm prior to today's big election primary in PA, so by the end of the afternoon everything was all a buzz, even with dorms blasting the Obama song at the Clinton supporters with 3 foot speakers. Very amusing. I'd imagine next fall it will be a great year to be a college student on campus come election time.

awesome! You made the right choice. Be sure to get involved with the great political opportunities available at Penn. The Penn democrat and republican club s are the most influential college political party clubs in Philadelphia and pennsylvania. Fox leadership program is great. Penn has great semester and internship programs in DC. And the political science department has been making some very interesting courses that combine classroom and political field work. PA's governor Ed Rendell teaches a class at Penn (he is also an alum)

I was at Penn Previews yesterday too! I was sold as well--I actually had that moment where I was standing on the green, everyone buzzing around me, and I realized that this was where I belonged for the next four years. Then I got all excited, walked over to the bookstore, and bought my Penn shirt, shorts, pennant, and "Penn Mom" mug as a mother's day present.

Can't wait to meet all of yall in the fall :)

the Republican club is big (by college standards) and while Philadelphia is essentially under one-party rule, Pennsylvania as a whole gets a lot of activity. And of course, you're the only Ivy that has easy access to both DC and New York--and there's no shortage of activity there!
