<p>So, I've been checking my Penn Portal and they put my counselor rec (sent on paper) under teacher recommendations (both were on the commonapp). So, I emailed them and they said they would fix it. </p>
<p>Instead, I found that they just uploaded one of my teacher recs ( I had none before), and my counselor one is still under teacher rec.</p>
<p>And I found out that the extra rec I sent it showed up under additional info but under the same name as the teacher rec they already have (a slight name change of Daniel to Dan)</p>
<p>What is going on?? Has anyone else had this problem?</p>
<p>(I'm thinking of calling in after Thanksgiving to give them more time to process. But I'm a little worried considering ED notification in in 3 weeks...)</p>
<p>Let them keep processing it.
Just remember, they don't real your whole application at once.
I vaguely remember it being read in stages. Essay -> Ecs/etc -> Classes/GPA -> Recs - SATs/ACTs</p>
<p>Also, you should know that they update it retroactively. I think they put it into their system first, or at least mark that they got it, but then update the PennPortal at a later date for whatever reason.</p>
<p>for my teacher recs, 2 are under the same name (my GC's secretary???) and the other is fine b/c she mailed it out herself. and still no update for GC rec and school report. and why do i have TWO transcripts??</p>
<p>plus, my school had to send my arts supp rec letter as well b/c i waived my right to see all letters, hence i couldn't upload the letter on commonapp.org. i really don't want them to mistake that letter for traditional teacher recommendation letters that are REQUIRED.</p>
