<p>Not really new, but for those who were concerned about Penn being in West Philly</p>

<p>Yay but then again college campuses are relatively safer than the city they are in. Look at JHU (Baltimore) and Rice (Houston)</p>
<p>Yeah I’m actually not surprised. I felt much safer at Penn than at some of the suburban/rural campuses I visited. They were so empty. At Penn, there are always people and there were security guys every 50 ft. just to add an extra feeling of security. I felt protected and like I could easily call Penn my second home.</p>
<p>Penn does everything they can for security short of building a Berlin Wall across 50th street. Though that’d be pretty handy if they did</p>

<p>ummm no actually it is. and it’s not just because it’s an urban campus and it needs to be. when i was visiting yale, i did not feel any bit as safe as when i was visiting penn. there’s a ridiculous amount of security, which might actually be unnecessary but is really niceee if you think about it.</p>
