Any other low test scorers here? Some people at my school beat me on the SAT by a good 100+ points but don’t take as many honors/AP classes and have much lower GPAs than I do.
@indorilnerevar It depends on what you consider to be a low SAT score… You may have scored 2290 and your friends 2390-2400 so… I don’t believe 2290 is that low a score…
Someone who applied ED got in w/ 26&27 ACTs… I think it’s all a crapshoot!
I am at a lost for words at the college admissions system. I honestly do believe they take our applications and shoots darts at it to see who gets accepted.
Has anyone on here applied for the NETS program? It’s so new (the first class graduates this year actually) and caps at 20 students…yikes! Have my fingers crossed, but not really expecting much.

My son got in ED CAS - interviews are more for the benefit of alumni - basically all ED applicants received interviews. They really mean nothing. * in response to a comment by humbleapplicant
@indorilnerevar I only have a 31 on my ACT (which meets Penn’s previous 31-35 middle 50% bracket) but I’m hoping to compensate for it by my extracurriculars, GPA, and recs.
@gummyworms57 same. I barely fit the SAT mid 50% for each of the 3 tests on the SAT

Hi everyone. International student here. Penn SEAS is the last decision I’m waiting for, though I don’t have much hope.

Has anyone seen the Penn twitter account? They’ve been super sassy and it’s hilarious.
In SEAS, does Penn admit by major or regardless of major? Is it easier to get into systems engineering than computer science or both are the same?
Did any RD applicants send updates? Also @sephardicjewesa, when was it postmarked?
