Hello,
I took 3 SAT Subject Tests in May and got my scores back.

Two of the Three were within the range I was hoping for, but the third (Bio M) was scored a 650. I was wondering, specifically with Penn, do they just care about the top 2 subject tests or are we expected to send all testing history? Should I just scrap this test and not send it, if so? Recommendations?

(Please don't send me anything from their school's testing policy on their site, it hasn't been specific to this case - from what I found)

Thanks for any answers/advice!

Penn wants to see ALL testing history.

I asked my guidance counselor at my high school the same question, and she called Penn’s admissions. They want ALL testing history;however, they said they will always consider your best scores. Since Penn only requires two subject tests though, I bet you’ll be fine. What were your scores on the other two?

750 on Math 2 and 720 on Chemistry

@OP: You are fine. Send all 3. They consider top 2. You MUST send all 3 though to follow their guidelines. Remember, they only consider the best scores.

Do they only consider the best scores in each subject? (e.g. you get a 700 Math II then 750 Math II and also a 600 Chem then a 800 Chem. And they only consider the 750 and the 800).

OR: Do they only consider your top tests as a whole? (e.g. you get a 750 Math II, a 600 Chem, a 450 World History, and a 780 Spanish. And they only consider the 750 and the 780).

Btw, those aren’t my scores, but just examples.

Basically, they are going to take the best scores, as long as they aren’t the same discipline (Like they wouldn’t take an 800 Bio M and an 800 in Bio E).

@OP you are fine, they will only look at your Math and Chem.

Thank you idontjoke and hardworking21, I appreciate your advice/confidence with my scores :)

@born2dance94: I asked during my visit, and they said they superscore subject tests too. So if you go from, say, 710 to 760 in a subject, they take the 760 for admissions factor. But you must send both still (as per their NO Score Choice policy)!

@hardworking21 thanks! good to know because I’ll be retaking one of them.

@born2dance94: Sounds good. Just make sure you send all of them and you will be set!
