I applied a while back to Penn State University park and Altoona as my second choice campus for computer engineering. I was wondering if I get accepted to altoona and not UP is it worth it to go out of state to attend. Is there really a big gap between the 2 campuses?
I think that’s really up to you and what your local options are. OOS is very expensive at PSU. Altoona is a lovely campus. It’s much smaller than UP with only about 5k students. But it is the closest to UP and many students go often up to UP for football games, etc…
You will still graduate from Penn State and your degree will not indicate your start campus. So depending on how much you think a PSU degree is worth - that may answer your question.
