Just got my decision back from the SHC, didn't get in sadly. My thoughts as far as PSU went to the Leonhard program I applied to around the same time. I hadn't thought much of it at the time, just another chance for some scholarship $$$ that was well worth the essay but now without SHC I'd like to know more.

However, I cannot seem to find any information about the Leonhard center outside of its own web page! My main questions about it are just:

How hard is it to get in? I have a 2320 SAT, 6 APs so far, 3rd in class top 10% hs with a 3.85 UW 4.15 Weighted GPA. My EC's are fairly weak, but my essay was really strong. When do we find out about it?

What does it consist of really? Are there smaller classes? Research? (this is really important to me!)

Has anyone had any experience with the program I can't seem to find anything. Really like everything about Penn State except the sheer size of the Engineering program. I really want to be involved and to research but can that happen at a school so big?
