Penn State or University of Florida for engineering?

OK, i live in Florida and am currently attending a community college. I am really interested in the nanotechnology minor that Penn State offers because my ultimate goal is to go to MIT for graduate school. my major is electrical engineering and the program UF has is very similar to PSU minus the Nanotech classes. but the nanoEECS program at MIT doesn't emphasize the need for nanotech experience as much as it does physics, chemistry, computer programming and EE courses (which are quite similar at both PSU & UF) and i will take pretty much the same classes in both (quantum mechs, data structures, linear algebra, the whole math sequence, electromagnetics, etc.) my main concern is the money, but i've heard PSU is a great school and i wanna know what you guys think about both schools, because i like both and Penn State sounds like it's a better name though it's ranked pretty close to UF, and UF is a whooole lot cheaper than PSU (in state) so i would like to hear some opinions (preferably by experience) . kthanks :]
