Penn State, Rutgers, or Ohio State with 3.0 gpa?

I have a 3.0 cumulative hs gpa.

I’ve done track since sophomore year, I’m joining the Navy reserve as a corpsman (marine corps medic), I’ve been a volunteer firefighter for 3 years, I have recommendations from the chief, captain, 1st lieutenant, and mayor. I’ve ran 3 businesses since freshman year because I want to be an entrepreneur in college. I hope to compensate my gpa with a good sat and act score.

Should I just go to community college first? Or do I have a good enough chance getting in right out of high school?

You have so much time from now until the first half of senior year to get your grades up. Don’t give up now, aim high and go get 'em

For Penn State a 3.0 would get you a branch campus.
