I am admitted those colleges.
Majors are: UMASS(Engineering with 10000$ scholarship annually), Texas(Engineering), Penn state(Undeclared)
Which is the best?
Tuition doesn’t matter, but I want to know whether I will be able to move engineering even though I am admitted ‘undeclared’ in PSU.
Yes, you can move into engineering from DUS (a.k.a. “undeclared”) but please recognize that the engineering weed out courses are a bear and each program has their own entrance-to-major requirements, including a minimum GPA. Calc, Chem, and Physics probably weed out nearly a 1/3 of prospective engineers. Once a student has more than one or two C’s, it becomes a painful uphill battle to earn the 3.0 or 3.2 GPA needed for the major. The secret to getting beyond these weed out courses is simple: drop them if you think you won’t get a C+ or higher and then take them at a community college and have the credits transfer in. Just make sure you check with the university to see that they will transfer in.
