Hi I am an admitted student at Penn State University Park, Indiana University Bloomington, and Binghamton University. I am currently undecided as my major but am planning on going to law school and will probably study something in the social sciences, communication, or writing fields. I am an OOS for all 3 and am not too worried about the finances. I liked all the schools equally when I visited and was wondering if anyone knew which one of these schools was most prestigious overall, best for these programs, or would like to share their opinion please comment and let me know.

IU has a very good journalism program, and the communication and culture major is really interesting. I don’t know Penn State, but I’d always heard Binghamton was more focused on the hard sciences and business. Plus the weather up there can be brutal. In terms of social sciences IU has a great poli sci department and you can also take classes at SPEA (school of public and environmental affairs), which looks at social sciences through an applied, public policy-focused lens.

Just weigh the characteristics that are important to you. I think in terms of prestige they are all similar.
