Penn supplement clarification needed

I was wondering what exactly Penn means by "service opportunities." Do they mean services the school can offer you, or do they mean services that you can offer to the community?

IMO they mean community service. For example maybe you volunteered for Habitat for Humanity in high school and would like to be involved with Penn’s campus chapter of Habitat.

We cannot explain without knowing the context. You may want to post the whole sentence or paragraph. Also the URL.

“The Admissions Committee would like to learn why you are a good fit for your undergraduate school choice (College of Arts and Sciences, School of Nursing, The Wharton School, or Penn Engineering). Please tell us about specific academic, service, and/or research opportunities at the University of Pennsylvania that resonate with your background, interests, and goals." 400-650 words

Google “undergraduate service opportunities at UPenn”. There are many.
