Penn Transfer Housing

Hello everyone,

I have been accepted as a transfer student into Penn. This will be my first year living on campus in a university due to my previous school being a commuter institution. As a transfer student, which college house would you guys recommend? I am looking for students who are social, partying, but are still serious about academics. Also, people who are involved, down to earth, and very open minded. Also, no weird people...lol

bump! i second this. is it weird to live in the quad if you’re not a freshman?

I had a friend in the Quad who transferred from another university. Nobody really cares. We’re a bunch of accepting kids at Penn.

At the same time, you probably already spent a year in a traditional college dormitory at your original university. If you don’t want to do that for a second year (communal bathroom, small room with a roommate, etc.), then don’t apply to the Quad.

Thank you for your posts. I am trying to get into one of the residential programs, but there’s no upload for the essays required…hmmm Also, are there any particular residential programs that are easy/hard to get into??

Do you know when housing results come out for transfers?
