I was waitlisted at university of wisconcin - madison, any one who knows when I will hear back ??
I am very anxiou. So the news should start to arrive the next thursday ?
Where did you hear that? Next thursaday as in May 7?
At least one of the recent years the news began arriving on May 7th, but some had to wait for as late as 6/29.
anyone know the yield rate this year?
BREAKING: Admissions yield rate holds steady at 66 percent
http://www.thedp.com/article/2015/05/class-of-2019-yield-rate
Approximately 15 more students than the total number of students who joined last year.
Has anyone heard back yet? Been checking my email all day even though i know it probably hasn’t been sent yet
I have a friend who got off the waitlist today
@chanelli300 do you know which college? wharton? CAS? nursing? engineering?
@chanelli300 @pmmywest Does each college has its own admission office? If so, then does each school has a different date of “first wave” of waitlist acceptances?
no idea. all he said was he got a call today lol. he mentioned he was doing a CAS major though
If they are doing calls, then does that mean that they are doing it one by one? It is not practical at all to call all accepted waitlist students at once when you can email them. The only reason you would call is that you are accepting students one at a time and calling right after each acceptance.
this is not good yield rate too high
But isn’t the yield rate same as last year?
Hi! I’ve committed to Vanderbilt over schools like Brown, UChic, and Duke, but I’m still eager to hear back from Wharton, as I want to go into finance, and there’s really no place like Wharton! Does anyone know when the wait listed students get a notification, and if they get one at all if rejected?
You’re likely to get a generic notification when the wait list is closed. Based on prior years that may happen as late as end June. So until you hear that it’s closed you still have a chance.
I got waitlisted at UPenn and Columbia, but I have committed to Rice, so I’m pretty much set. I would love to get off the waitlist at both colleges though! Good luck to everyone who’s in the same situation as I am!
