I live in Virginia, and if I attend a state school, I will enter the workforce with very little debt. If I attend a non-state school, I will graduate with significantly more debt. I think I have a good shot for admission at UVA, while Penn Wharton would be more of a reach for me.
man i hate when the term state school can be sort of derogatory when it can apply to schools like berkeley, uva and mich
for pretty much all areas of business, mcintire does fine. not wharton level but if you get a solid GPA and join the right organizations you will be just fine (pretty much just like every other school). UVA does very well in investment banking and you will have more fun in charlottesville.
@jacob117 No school is worth going into significant debt for. That said, Penn has a very big endowment, and thus it is quite generous with financial aid. The financial aid at Penn and the other ivies is need based so there is an excellent chance you will get good aid if you have a demonstrated need.
