I heard from people that emory has a lot of stereotyped people like how all the koreans hang with koreans and how there are a lot of rich snobbish people who just like to party... how true is that? what is the social life like in emory college?

agree with aluminum. For the record, Emory is not much different from most 50K+ a year colleges The segregation is more noticeable only because we are so diverse. If the school was 65-75% white with most being non-Jewish(y’all should know who I am talking about w/o me saying it) , such trends would be less visible. Emory’s assessment in such areas is kind of unfair. And the snobbish party cults are probably much “worse”(quotes are to indicate my bias because I know many people like this) at many of our peers. I really don’t wanna imagine it.

lol ill make sure i have a lot of friends that are not my color…lol And a wide assortment of friends from different income brackets! :)

That’s pretty much what I have. It works really well. Then again, it’s easier for me as I’m a URM so most people here are not my color or income level. Given this, there is less pressure for me to clique up. Don’t get me wrong, there is pressure, but much less than say if I were Korean, Chinese, Jewish, or Indian student simply because it’s easier for them to only interact with their own demographic simply because the respective communities are much larger.
