People who can't think for themselves and always ask you for answers to HW and stuff

^ Hey… I jumped straight into Calc BC from Alg 2.

Some schools have MUCH more rigorous Algebra 2 classes than others that would be like Algebra 2 and 3/4 of PreCalculus for a normal school.

Hmmm… what did we add into our Alg 2 class…

Trig…
Stats…
Basically anything in my IB Math HL 1 was something my teacher did not pick up last year.
Which basically was vectors and polars(Picked up both in self-study).

Hey, I jumped into Calc AB from Alg 2 (though I did take an online course).

Which is still impressive. My online course got cancelled.

Calc AB is way easy though. (Well, I spoke too soon. We’re on Related Rates and I’m having some minor difficulties.)

^Your Calc BC online course got cancelled? For what reason?

I used to be stupid and lazy when it came to Spanish IV AP, but I dropped that class. And now am probably the smartest guy in most of my classes, which are all Honors/AP except for Webmastering and SAT Prep

^I totally feel you. Spanish 3 kicks my ass, almost as much as Physics C.

I was in Spanish III last year finished with a 93. I’m in Physics I Honors now. I think I’ll take the Physics B class next year.

Does your school teach Physics C? If so, I strongly encourage you to take it instead. It’s much more challenging but also more rewarding.

My summer precalc class got cancelled. Still have Calculus BC online.

Next year or this summer, Multivariable Calc!

That doesnt happen to me

everybody asks everybody because of grade deflation

(like 5%-10% of people in AP classes get a 95% or above), unlike many people on CC who are like OMG I HAVE A 96% ITS SOOO LOW I HAVE A LOW GPA.

Nope, I’m not 100%, but I think we only have B x(

You better get a 5, MIT

If I don’t, I’m crying.

I think you’ll get a 5 easily to be honest.

Never can be too sure though.

As always, another thread that MIT posts in has turned into a conversation about his placeholdings in math at school.

Why is MIT taking Calculus BC? I thought he was way too advanced for that since he have already self-studied more advanced mathematics, like Differential Equations.

@OP I shared the same viewpoint, but I learned to tolerate those people. In ninth and tenth grade, I usually just told people just look in the damn book and figure it out and I was always frustrated with those type of people. However, now I choose to help people and try to help them on what they cannot understand from reading from the textbook.

^tis true, but I did all that without taking a formal calculus course. I couldn’t do diff eqs at a CC without taking Calculus, so I signed up for this online Calculus BC course. Easy stuff.

I still have a long way to go in math though.
