Is anyone else annoyed by these people? The people who never talk to you if there's no personal gain for them, who halfheartedly respond to your attempts to be friendly to them, who ask you EVERY DAY what the homework is because they can't pay attention for 5 seconds at the beginning of class and read the damn board.

The answer is NO! I will NOT let you borrow my assignment that I spent hours on! Go suck a big one!!

(if it's just a one time deal, then I'm usually nice about it. But people who ask me constantly and expect me to deliver irk me to no ends.)

and the answer is yes, i really CAN’T focus for that long. or more like, i try to focus but always seem to miss the important few seconds when the important instructions are being given. for some of us, concentration is difficult, ok? but yeah, i mostly stick to bothering my friends, i wouldn’t pester someone i barely know so maybe i’m not ~exactly one of the ppl you’re talking about :P

I’ve charged for letting others copy my homework before. Depending on how important the assignment is, I’ve gotten anywhere from a stick of gum to a couple dollars. :P

I can’t stand it when people ask that! I say idk. I don’t like it when people think that you’re just gonna let them see your paper so that they can take credit for your work. I always say what question did you not get? n’ then I explain or tell them where to find it.

Well then guy, i wouldnt be surprised if you, one day, needed help and no one did help you. In fact, WHEN, not IF, that day comes, i want you to come crying to me.

I think it depends on the situation. I think that one should not always assist one when the individual has asked a multitude of times, without trying to figure it out for themself first. You could be taken advantage of in the future if you continue to give in.

Ehh, I don’t really see your point. You’re telling me that if I let an obnoxious pothead jock copy my homework then I will somehow get something in return at some point in the future?

The way I see it, I have something that many others at my school want–completed homework. In exchange for food, money, etc., I let others look at my homework; quid pro quo, right?

Of course none of this applies to those that I have any kind of meaningful relationship with.

I used to believe in that so I let people copy my hw occasionally and help them out (ie. scanning pages of the books when they forgot their books at school). But the day I needed that same help the most, most people who I helped just said “I can’t, I don’t have a scanner” (when I knew for a fact that they did xP) or “idk.”

Just help your close friends, they are the least likely people to take advantage or annoy you. Or at least help people you know that are reliable or genuine.
