<p>What were your grades during highschool? 85 average (3.0)</p>

<p>SAT score? 1400/1600</p>

<p>EC’s? Track, newspaper editor, student leadership club, key club, a lot of community service, a lot of job experience</p>

<p>Somehow, I got waitlisted. It’s sad because I wrote a very heartfelt letter explaining my low GPA and showed my potential. My scores aren’t even really considered low either. Guess SBU didn’t want to take a leap of faith in me; fortunately, other “good” schools did. Oh well, it’s SBU’s loss; I actually considered it until I got a full scholarship to another school. </p>

<p>Accepted to honors college w/ full tuition scholarship.</p>

<p>SAT I (1 sitting) 2240 (750 M, 780 CR, 710 W)
SATII Math II: 800, Bio E: 790</p>

<p>GPA (UW): 3.75</p>

<p>EC’s: Volunteered at a food pantry, started a tutoring program at the local library, outdoor conservationist volunteering, etc… </p>

<p>At this point I’m almost definitely going to SBU. The only other school I was seriously looking at was Cornell, and I got rejected there so all I’m waiting for now is the official financial aid package to enrol. Absolutely cannot wait for the fall semester to start. :D</p>

<p>Have people been getting University Scholars confused with the Honors College? Remember, guys, there IS a difference. University Scholars is like second place. You do still get priority registration, though, which is nice. :)</p>

<p>Unless university scholars also get letters in the mail inviting them to the honors college, I’m pretty sure I got into the honors college…</p>

<p>i didn’t what to make a new thread so i am posting this here,i am a prospective future international student and i am having real difficulty confirming if i have been accepted or not.Yesterday the solar portal started displaying some new options like new students and financial aid but the application status still says my application is being processed.My student id is 108918924,it would be really helpful if i can confirm SB’s decision as i need to make my own,i have already been accepted at rutgers…thanks</p>
