Pepperdine acceptance letters?

I received this email today:
" We are currently completing the Fall 2009 application cycle and preparing to send out decision letters.

Our records show that the following is your current contact information:

Your decision letter will be sent to the above address on or before April 1. "

Does this mean the letter may come before April 1st? Are they sending them out all at once?

I got this same email.

i too got this email

when i visited the admission counselor said on or before april 1st but i havent heard of anyone who got a decision prior the april 1st email. she said rejections and acceptances arent sent out in any particular order but im pretty sure all decisions will be delivered via email on april 1st to those who applied. Good luck!

Got the same email!

"You and your parents are invited to our upcoming University Receptions. These events will serve to honor the Pepperdine admitted students for the Fall 2009 term, as well as to introduce you and your family to the Pepperdine community. "

Did anyone else get this email?

My son hasn't received that one, but it sounds like a good sign that you've been admitted. Congratulations.

marebella 7, are you in the US? I have not heard of anyone else getting that email - am hoping that it went out to foreign students who will be accepted?!?

I haven't got that email either :'(

marebella7, thats wierd coz u should have gotten your acceptance letter b4 getting that email. But its a good sign tho! Cogratz

marebella7, when did you receive this email??

Actually, I got that reception email too. I didn't even apply. I am a junior. I just have a generic account that you have to create to receive information.

This is strange! Students who apply don't get a reception letter while students who didn't apply do!

i didn't receive this email either. good luck to everyone though

I'm hoping that this means that when I apply next year I'm in. HAHA. I love Pepperdine.

Ah I didn't get any email. I hope this isn't a bad sign.

Yes Im from the US, and I got the email on Thursday. I dont know, I thought it was strange that they would send me that email as well. Thats why I asked if anyone else got one.

Oh wait, I did get that email. Silly me.

GWU - which email? The one about the family weekend or the general one posted at the top of this thread?

marabella7, have you applied to Pepperdine or do you just have a wavenet account? I have also been thinking, do you guys think that Pepperdine has not had as many people apply this year because
1) They pushed the date back a month. Now, one person has said that it was because of a glitch and they had so many already they were already behind but to me this just seems like admission bs. Because, there was a glitch with turning in financial aid information as well and no date was pushed back AND if they were already behind and why would they push back the date an entire month just too have even more people apply if they are already over their heads with applications? Wouldn't a week seem more suitable n reality?
2) No other "low admissions rate" colleges send out emails to potential students or newsletters to anyone, applied or not, because they have no reason to as they already have a large pool of students to choose from and do not need to advocate themselves.

This is just what I've been thinking i don't know how anyone else feels
