I am having a hard time choosing between these two private schools.

Pepperdine University is a private Christian school located in Malibu, CA with 3,500 undergraduates. I got a full ride (all four years paid) here.

University of Southern California (USC) is a private school located in Los Angeles, CA with 17,000 undergraduates. I got into spring semester for Marshall School of Business. I have yet to find out my financial aid package.

I am majoring in Business Administration for both. I have wanted to go to USC since about two years ago. On the other hand, my mother forced me to apply to Pepperdine a month before the deadline. Now that I got a full ride there, though, I am considering Pepperdine. Pepperdine seems like a great school now that I look more into it, but I don't know how I should make this decision. I am not worried socially; I just want to know which decision is better in terms of education/connections/jobs/investments. Can people with relevant information advise me on what college/how to made my decision, please?

BMW, Pepperdine is a good school, but USC has developed into a great academic institution in the last 10 years or so. USC is ranked #26 and Pepperdine #58 in USNWR rankings.

You need to first find out what your financial aid from USC is, otherwise a decision cannot even be close to being made.

Pepperdine is based in one of the better locations of any school in the country- Malibu… and USC is in South Central L.A., one of the worse parts of Sothern California.

You can’t have people of the other sex past 1:00 am in your dorms at Pepperdine and there is no alcohol allowed on campus.

Pepperdine is well connected in Southern Calfornia, but not as much as USC.

Average Class Size
Pepperdine = 15
USC = 16

% of Classes less than 30 students
Pepperdine = 88%
USC = 75%

Graduation rates - 6 year
Pepperdine = 81%
USC = 88%

Business Week’s Ranking of Undergraduate Business Schools
USC - #24
Pepperdine >#50

A full ride is hard to turn down. You really need to find out about the USC package before making any choice.

It depends on what USC offers if it is even to 5K per year then I would say USC by far. If it means borrowing more than 30K over the 4 years then take the full ride.

I am quite sure that USC will give me all the financial aid I need. Without regard to cost, which college do you guys think is better?

USC hands down, wait I am appling to USC as a transfer, so you should go to Pepperdine :)
