I'm posting this thread that I came across in the College Selection forum. The data was compiled by a CC poster, not something that's the result of a scientific study or expert methodology, but the numbers do tell a story that should be of interest here.

WashU looks good (yay!) but I'd like to hear from current students whether you actually feel the effects of this amount of "per student" spending, particularly at the UG level. Or do you think this reflects more the amount of spending on graduate students?

I think it is accurate to say that Wash U spends mucho money on undergrads-I believe that is why students love Wash U so much!

I am ashamed, mortified, incensed at this University's lavish, ostentatious spending.

johnny: I hope you didn't take this post as a criticism of some sort. Not at all.

This data puts Washu in a very nice company of top 10 universities and as a parent, I'm pleased. I was just fishing for student reaction.

no....i didn't take it as criticism.
