<p>Is the GMS ethnicity requirement 100% of one of the ethnicities African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander American, and Hispanic American or can it be part? Is this Gates Millennium requirement based on identity or bloodline? What if an applicant is 1/2 or 1/4 of one of these? I am wondering as there may be people interested in the scholarship who may be a mix of one or more of these ethnicities.</p>
<p>I’m wondering the same thing because I’m mixed (my mom is American and my father is from the Caribbean).</p>
<p>I’m pretty sure I’m considered black (my dad is black and my mom is white) I mean the president of the united states is biracial but considered African American. Hopefully though.</p>
