Which matters more when it comes to school grades?

Percentile.
Why?
Because it judges your performance based on the relative difficulty/other’s performance in the test which is directly proportional to the standard of teaching in the classroom.

Agree with anishbasu. Percentile is a more accurate measure of ones performance. But may I ask why are you asking this question.

I was just wondering. Actually my 11th scores aren’t that good. My percentile is great, but percentage isn’t that impressive. Saying i topped in chemistry sounds much better than saying i got a 59/70.
My intended major is computer science and i have been scoring the highest in class throughout the year. But when it comes to percentage, 90% isn’ enough. So yeah, I was just wondering.
Thanks for your replies.

The percentile stats should be explained by your Counslellor/Principal. They are the ones who need to define you in context of rest of your class.
