Perhaps there'd be more posts if it wasn't listed under "T"

It took me a while to figure out where Sewanee posts might be.

S is seriously looking. Probably will visit summer or fall.

How would you rank it compared to Rhodes, Hampden-Sydney, and Vandy?

S --considering majoring in education working with the hearing impaired--lost 80% as a child and took many years and surgeries to be heard and able to speak similar to other kids. Now loves playing basketball at 6'5", outdoors active kid. Good grades. Taking ACT today. Moderate in political outlook.

Seems like a good fit for all these schools except I'm feeling Vandy is way, way of a reach given all I know with one kid already there.

definatly look into HSC, its one of a kind! And one of a dying breed. This quote was inpresed upon me during the visit: Hampden-Sydney men aren't necessarly famous, but they end up runing a lot of things"

wabash--i followed your application to HSC last year. Did you transfer in this year? If so, congratulations--

I found it rather offensive that it was not under "U" or "S" but under "T"!!!

musictoad--unfoutunatly, no. I applied last year as a High school senior. In my rejection letter they stated that even though I didn't make the cut the first time, I am more than welcome to apply as a transfer after the end of my freshman year. This doesn't ditter me in any way. LOOK INTO HSC! I think you and your son will be glad you did.
