I filed my fafsa as soon as it came out, and I know they give you some priority for stuff the earlier you file. My permanenr address is my moms address because I am considered a dependant student still. However, she moved like last week. Same state, same city. If I update my address, it’ll resubmit the whole form, and its already february, so I would hate to do that. Does anyone know if I absolutely have to update this? I already recieved my SAR for the 2020-2021 aid year with the form with the old address.
Do your colleges have your permanent address?
You say your mom moved and it sounds like you didn’t move with her…did you?
Colleges need your permanent address because believe it or not some still use plain old fashioned mail to send some things.
If it were me, I would contact your colleges regarding this address change.
You don’t change your address on FAFSA. You DO need to give a permanent address to the schools.
It will make no difference to FA.
