It seems to me that there are always one or two active threads in which a conservative student is searching for an academically elite college/university which won't oppress his beliefs, as most certainly happens in all liberal upper-tier schools. The problem with this is that I have never observed any cases of this happening at my "liberal" university, nor have I heard of this situation occurring in other colleges through the news. I guess what I'm asking is actually fairly simple: can somebody show me that liberal schools actually are actively suppressing the conservative students and that this is prevalent across top-echelon universities, not simply an isolated case or two? Or are these students merely searching for an environment which better reflects their beliefs, unfairly accusing their liberal peers and faculty in the process?

Could be

I go to Umich, a pretty liberal college. The other week I had to deal with a Pro-Life truck driving around campus that just had graphic pictures of aborted fetus parts on its sides.

Pretty soon I’ll have to deal with Pro-Choice rallies, signs, and other graphic pictures probably of some chick that was raped.

And around the cycle will go.

Conclusion: Politics are stupid.

^this. Forever this.

^Couldn’t agree more, all for the political process I just can’t stand the in fighting and stupidity .

Good to see my layoff didn’t make me rusty
