Is it possible to score a 12 using one of these as an example? (or even three personal examples?)

Also, is it not a good idea to "make up" personal examples, for those colleges that read the SAT essay as well as the admissions essays?

I dont think you can get a 12 using only personal examples.Maybe one ,but no more.

There are sample essays from CB that scored 12s with personal examples, so it is possible. I would go with literary or historical examples if you can, though.

Hehehe. Personally, I love personal examples. On this may’s SAT (my first one) I wrote one long personal example (kinda made up) and got a 12. So… YMMV.

I would suggest you to go for personal experiences if you can’t think about anything at that moment. There is just 25 minutes,so you need to act quick.
