Has anyone done a personal interview, either Syracuse On the Road interview or on campus interview? What types of questions were asked? How long did your interview last?

I just had one and I was very nervous. However, I had a nice interviewer and he told me that my scores were good and that my GPA was okay. 26 on ACT and 3.5 GPA.

We talked about:

My Senior Classes

Honors/AP (I am taking all Honors and I have taken one AP which I passed).

Why I Am Interested In Syracuse

My Interests

Academic Interests (Majors, etc.)

Study Abroad

Politics (I said that I was taking American Government and he brought up the subject. We talked about how different and exciting the election is and that I had been getting more interested in Law [One of my possible career paths] and Politics.)

My Extracurriculars

He said that Newhouse is competitive but that I could transfer (something like that) after I am admitted (if i am admitted it, that is.)

BTW, I had my interview at the Campus. I was actually early for a group information session and then I was to have my interview. However, I got to do my interview early. I love being prompt. Haha!

As for length, it wasn't too long, more than 10 minutes. I think it was almost 30 but I cannot be sure.

I hope that helped you. =D

Thanks elbie09!
