Personal Statement = Common App Essay

<p>Hey all,</p>

<p>I am wondering if the personal statement is the same as the common app essay. To clarify, my problem is that I have written an essay about my work at a community hospital and how it effected me, and I also wrote about how I enjoy bicycling and it is a part of me. Can the second be used in the common app essay area or is that not what they are looking for?</p>

<p>If it fits a prompt, then yes, use it by all means! If I'm not mistaken (correct me if I'm wrong, somebody) the two are in fact synonymous, so it should be fine.</p>
