I am applying to MIT and I have a quick question. Looking at the common app for my other universities, there is a section for the personal statement (500 word one). I think I am a moron because I have been through the whole MIT application and I can't find the place where I'm supposed to upload that essay, or type it up. Does it even need it? Thank you in advance for any help!</p>
<p>If you want to add a personal statement (or any other information that you cannot place elsewhere in the application), you should put it in the optional section at the very end of Part 2.</p>

<p>Yep, MIT is definitely not a common app school and is not going to go to the common app for the foreseeable future.</p>
