Personal statement from a recovering alcoholic

<p>I began working on my college degree 20 years ago. I returned to school a year ago, after getting sober in 02/10. I am trying to transfer to a four year school, and I wonder if I should mention my alcoholism and drug addiction and the fact that I overcame this obstacle. Should I mention this or not? It is a big part of my personal story, and my drive to finish school at my age.</p>
