<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>Quick question. I wrote up and modified my main common app essay now where I think it is good enough to submit to the HYPS-type schools. However, the essay is just under 1000 words. I have heard many people say that 700 words is generally a max. So, does my essay need to be cut down more?</p>
