Personal statement stress

I just reread my personal statement, and I am freaking out now. Two things that now seem like glaring mistakes: I used the word "vital" twice in the first prompt response, and I said I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my Political Science degree. I outlined a bunch of various paths I was interested in taking, but said I still wasn't sure which direction I would go in. You think this is a problem? I can't believe I missed the use of the word vital, twice. I mean, why couldn't I have used "crucial," or "important," or something else of one of them? The rest of it is well-written, and I've got As in all my English courses... will they take notice of this? Will they care that I don't absolutely know what I want to do with my degree, and said as much?

Relax! If you don’t get in, it will NOT be for either of those reasons. And anyway, you can’t change it now, so why waste your time worrying?

You’re right, thats a good point.

altschool is right. If you know you’re a strong applicant overall, these flaws are so very very insignificant.
