Personality Words?

I can’t speak for everyone but the majority of the science majors at Michigan hate their lives. The vast majority of the professors are extremely stubborn and can be fairly ignorant sometimes. Definitely not a place where you can enjoy the science classes you’re taking.

Hey, this is high school anymore where everyone gets patted on the head, heaped with praise, spoon-fed your classes, and everyone gets A’s and B’s. You are supposed to be becoming adults and taking advantage of all the educational opportunities that you have been given. There are 100’s of kids who would gladly exchange places with you. Stop complaining.

@Tbeezer12 - That sounds terrible. I want to go into science, and UMich was pretty high up on my list…

@PeterW I’m not complaining. I’m simply stating what it’s actually like to take science classes here. Being a junior, I obviously realize that “this is [sic] high school anymore.” Anyone wishing to come here to take advantage of the “world renowned science departments” will be sadly mistaken.

@Tbeezert Fair enough. Being a junior you have taken a decent number of classes to form your opinion which I respect. I have to admitted that I am not a student but my boy is a junior in the College of Engineering. He has never expressed any dissatification with any of his instructors (major professors / GSI) or the subject presentations. I did pop into an organic chemistry-type lecture on one visit to UM and it was quite interesting (I do have an advanced degree in organic chemistry from a different university). It might have been a graduate course since everyone looks young to me.
