I'm glad you're interested in Peter Singer. So am I.

I actually had dinner with Peter Singer two weeks ago and got a chance to talk to him about his views on global poverty, cosmopolitanism, and morality. Without question, the one thing that he is interested in is compassion. I would definitely suggest reading One World. A really good book, but Singer is very controversial.

I once read somewhere that he thinks we could all live on $30K a year. When I questioned him about him, he admitted to living on more than such. I noticed that as I kept pressing him to tell me the sources of his figures, he was pressed and said he didn't really remember. He basically just threw the number out there. He engages in performative contraditions a lot.

I did, however, talk to my philosophy professor about Singer and realized that Singer was a bit radical in a lot of his philosophy a couple of years ago. He's kinda backed off and relaxed most of what he said. Interesting.

Singer spends half of the year at Princeton and the other half at Australia. Very controversial, but definitely out there.

OMG! that is so cool! The article was so inspiring to me, it made me feel kind of guilty, but it also made me feel very inspired to make a difference. I think that's what he was goin' for.

Bump.........
