Meet this guy and see what's the big deal

i'd advise against calling him a "sick man" to his face.

he's pretty reserved/quiet in person, not a jerk or anything.

apparently, as was discussed in the thread f.scottie mentioned, Peter Singer is the "world's most controversial ethicist". (http://people.brandeis.edu/~teuber/singermag.html )
I am sure it will be interesting to meet him. The article in the link was actually the basis of my final for philosophy last year at Harvard SSP.

Tell us how it goes. I've heard of this guy!

Please tell us how this goes. This guy fascinates me as a teacher and I'd love to hear how he is in person, as a mentor/professor/superior.

I wouldn't order chicken! ;)

laughs, yes, please to tell

Um, didn't this "yesterday" pass?

ok well i'm kind of busy these days up here at Pton in the FSI program

LOADS of work

anyway the lunch fell through but he gave us FSIers a presentation about stem cell research....rather dry i thought. Anyway I could tell that he kind of mellowed out on his more extreme point of views (in my opinion at least)

What a let down. :(

seriously...

never mind guys ;) we can all drop by to see him in the fall.

Oh yes! I really hope to get on the ins with him, since he's a big whig at the Human Values Forum/Center for Human Values. Le sigh...
