Not directly related, but I just want to add that in my experience Kelley professors are not some omnipotent beings that students have no access to. Most professors probably couldn’t pay their students to talk to them outside of class, but my experience has been that professors really want to get to know you if you make an effort.

Here is the ranking for evening MBA these faculty teach full time students as well. I am also looking for for the article that ranked IUPUI #9 for faculty but #31 for facilities for undergrad. Actually very similar to IUB. I will post it when I find it. If you read the recent Annual report for IUB and Mission for IUPUI they are both honing in on the “facilities” part of their ranking.

[Bloomberg Businessweek ranks Kelley Evening MBA program No. 1 for academic quality : Kelley School of Business Indianapolis](http://kelley.iupui.edu/news/archive/bloomberg-businessweek-ranks-kelley-evening-mba-program-no-1-academic-quality/)

I think it was SoccerGurl that was exactly correct about the difference in recruitment. The Placement department at IUPUI will report (they have an external report coming soon) an and overall placement (3 month post) of 88% but that includes all students. For the students that actually used the Office it was much higher, in the mid 90’s and mirrors the number for IUB.

But the companies at IUPUI are from Indiana and the Midwest, while IUB has pull from a more global employer base. NYC, Dallas, etc.

Everywhere I turn I see the same success rates and opportunities. But one is more colloquial in serving Indiana (and other Midwest towns ) specifically.

Depends on what you want. Fit is everything…

My son is in a similar postition: 3.66 weighted GPA, 31 ACT superscore (29 and 30 on two separate tries). He petitioned and is waiting it out. I’ve heard that Kelley is doing away with direct admit in the future, so let’s hope all of these petitioners sneak in under the wire!

If Kelley does away with direct admit I can’t even imagine how much harder the “weeder” classes will be. They are already very difficult but now everyone will be competing to be accepted to Kelley

Again Why?

Squeaking in? Why not go in high and just stay somewhere?

My son wants a Big Ten school. He likes all of the events that are associated with it. He wants a big school. He has been to the IU and Purdue campuses, not to mention a few others. He always thought he would go to Purdue for Actuarial Science, but once he visited Indiana, he knew that IU was the place for him.
I went to a MAC school (NIU), and I understand wanting to go to a bigger name college with a larger population. Right or wrong, I do understand it.

My son just got in - he is super excited and ready for Kelley!
