I’m thinking about majoring in Petroleum engineering but I would like to to work in the north eastern U.S. or somewhere that’s in the the mid northern U.S. Are there any jobs in these a reason? I understand it’s not a big area for oil but I’m not really a fan of the south.
You can find job in petroleum engineering in the Northeast (Pennsylvania) and the Mountain West, along with North Dakota to name a few. But, if you are not willing to move to the South where most of the energy companies have headquarters (Houston) then you might be limiting yourself.
