petroleum & chemical engineering chemical

I applied to
University of Florida
Florida State University
University of Texas A&M
University of Texas A&M at qatar
University of Minnesota

I was wondering where should i go?
I want to double major in chemical and petroleum engineering, my first chooice was texas A&M at qatar because they are the richest country and il probably get paid a lot but then a friend told me that their degree is not as good as the degree from Texas A&M at austin. Now im leanig towards Minnesota or University of florida. Any advice?

As long as the program is ABET accredited the quality of the program is not at stake. If their petroleum/chemical engineering programs are ABET accredited there is probably very marginal differences in “quality” or “rigor” of their program. UTA&M is well-respected in the engineering field, as far as I know, however. But I doubt you would get any much of a higher paying job in petro-eng by going to one of those certain schools…

Focus on other aspects of the school you like (size, campus vibe, location etc.)

Neither University of Florida, FSU, nor the University if Minnesota offers PetE.

i applied to uf, fsu and um for chemical E

The slowness of the response to your question might be a product of the absence of information that you’ve given us. No one wants to ask you to tell them all the information we need to be helpful because we find ourselves doing that five times a day at this time of the application cycle. We want to know what kind of school you’re most likely to fit. Tell us something about yourself and why you chose those schools. Why petro and chemical eng? Do you really work only in petro? Tell us what each school is likely to COST you (we’re not interested in your scholarships because we’re going to make recommendations based largely on which school is least expensive unless you tell us you’re filthy rich). And anything else you can think to tell us. Make it easier for us to help you.
