Not one of the students in the advanced chemistry class has passed a single test with better than a C grade.

Well, this was the answer sentence for one of the CB online WR Qs.
I thought that the phrase "with better than a C grade" was wierd & awkward.
A more apt phrase would be "with a grade better than C," don't you think?

Feedback & rationalization please :) thanx

I don’t see anything wrong with that particular sentence. Your phrase, “with a grade better than a C”, is not erroneous either.

ok thanx :)

On the ID errors section you’re not looking to see if the sentence can be improved, you’re looking to see if it’s grammatically acceptable, which this sentence is.
