PH Upper Divs

Can I take Public Health 150E in spring 2010 even if I am not declared in the major and is it a challenging class for a second year student? What are my chances of getting into it if I Phase 2 it? Do they have a waitlist-and if so how hard is it to get off of it and into the class? Thanks for any help/advice in advance! :)

One prereq is upper division standing, so you have to have enough AP credits to boost you to that.

PH classes are rumored to be easy, I haven’t taken any upper divs but I don’t think it’d be too challenging, especially in comparison to ochem/bio1a/etc.

It is unlikely you’ll get into Phase II. There is a waitlist. I don’t know how easy it is to get off.

thanks stly

well this is what i have for spring 2010
Education Level JUNIOR
Non-AP Level JUNIOR
Future (Telebears) Level SENIOR

so i know i have UD standing. but i heard they restrict the class to only those who have already declared Public health as a major-is there any truth to this? i dont want to enroll in the class only to have them manually remove me from it later…

anybody know if there is section/discussion for this class or if its just based on 3 hours lec per week? (the catalog says 3 hrs lec/dis per week-so is that 3 hours of lec and 3 hours of section-making it 6 hours total-or is it JUST 3 hours of lec?) sorry if this is a dumb question

anyone taken this class before that wants to tell me anything about satariano and his difficulty level-i cant find him on ratemyprof

if there is section, how many times per week does it meet and long does it last
