Pharmacy School Admission - Cumm GPA vs. Prerequisite GPA

Hi,

Can someone provide some insights on how the cumulative GPA and prerequisite GPA are considered in admission? Son had a few down semesters and trying to regroup himself. His cumm GPA is around 3.0 (but improving) and prerequisite GPA (depending on which courses are included, are around 3.5 to 3.56. No PCAT yet. I see terms like “Expected GPA” or “Minimum Prerequisite GPA” but not sure what this means in his situation. Any insight you can provide is greatly appreciated. TIA

Is he applying to a Pharm D program trough PharmCAS?

Look on page 65 & 66 of PharmCAS application instructions for GPA calculation

And I agree, contact the prospective school for more information.

They might just look at prerequisite GPA.
