Phd funding - spring or fall admission?

<p>Do I have a better chance of receiving funding for phd for spring or fall admission? I would think there would be more funding available for Fall admission since there would be a higher turnover rate then..?</p>

<p>What field are you going into? I didn’t think many schools offered spring admissions for PhD programs.</p>

<p>Fall admits certainly have got higher rate of receiving funding. I read on some schools’ website that they don’t even fund students admitted in spring</p>

<p>A lot of even programs won’t even admit you in the spring, since that would completely mess up your degree progression and put you out of touch with the rest of your cohort. I know my program doesn’t.</p>
