PhD Funding with Dismissed Misdemeanor

Hey all, I will be applying to Computer Science PhD graduate schools soon. I have a dismissed misdemeanor on my record (not expunged, but the case was dismissed) for possession of marijuana.

I was wondering if TA/RA funding is just as likely as it would be had I not had the case on my record. Also, is external funding through things such as NSF fellowships still possible?

I am an otherwise very-qualified applicant.

I don’t think it’ll matter.

Alright, its just that it will definitely show up on my record as a dismissed case, and the arrest will still show up.

Nobody will care about this.

Agree with the above - they would care about being convicted of a felony, but not arrested for a misdemeanor.
