phone call to admission office?

I got rejected, and I feel my stats are better than a ton of people who got in; would calling the admissions office and trying to find out why they rejected me do anything? Or would they just give me the run around?

I can only answer from a strictly adult, business point of view. Have your papers in front of you, test scores, gpa, all documentation you would have provided them so u can refer to them. Then call, and politely discuss your disappointment. Has there been an error? Ask what area they felt was lacking. Try to mention your high points- such as "did you notice I had X on my ACT?" Try to impress how good you are, and why you'd be good for them. Ask them to reconsider your admission request.
Remember- u are trying to impress a person that wasn't impressed with you before- so be prepared with answers for any questions they might ask you.
You want to convince them you are intelligent, prepared, and calm. If they PERCEIVE your attitude as "others less worthy got in, why not me?", they will not be impressed with you. "Why pick on me, Johnny did it too" may have worked in grade school but it won't work with college admissions.
good luck

good advice, thank you very much
