Phone Plan

What phone plan do you recommend on getting.

Which service provider has the best coverage throughout campus and good deals.

Which plan would be financially the best too, keeping in mind that I dont plan on using the phone in the dorm. Thus my handphone being the only phone that I would use.

Thanks

Also...forgot to ask in earlier message.

Which banks are available on campus and which one is used by the majority of students.

i think verizon is the best one

the only major bank is chase, all the other ones are local indiana banks, i tink the university has their own bank as well.

Verizon is the phone service provider recommended for IU. My son used Verizon all last year, and it came through quite well. We have a family plan that works well for us, with national free long distance, but I don't really know what other plans there are. It would depend upon how many hours you think you would use a month.

cingular works very well too. i was at orientation and i had full signal everywhere on campus.

fifth third bank also has a location

Tmobile blows at indiana.... everytime i used my phone it was via cingular network (yick for roaming charges)

u do realize that tmobile works with cingular and u shouldnt have roaming charges no matter what carrier you pick up - unless bloomington is out of your service area

The other advantage with verizon is that if you and your parents or friends have verizon phones there is no time (minutes) charge at all for calling from one verizon phone to another.

What about Nextel?

u mean sprint?

Yes and no.

But I guess since they now share the same towers.
