Photo ID?

Okay so I am taking the test early (10th grade year) so what I am wondering is if they really check your photo ID when you go to take the test. I am to young to have a driver's license much less a permit. So I have no offical state ID and my school ID is messed up, so I can't use that. So do I need to try to find some way to get an photo ID or do I not really need it?

Yes, you do need a photo ID. If the photo is messed up on your student ID, you need to get a new ID from your school or something. An official ID is not necessary. I took the test 3 times (at 3 different testing centers), and they checked every time. Just do what you would do if you lost your student ID card.

Do you have a passport?

^ Nope no passport and could someone explain what it is like when you take the SAT?

Please answer my question above ^

Typically, there will be a long line of students walking into the school about 30 minutes before test time, waiting to get to 2-3 tables at the front of the auditorium for the people there to check your ID and your printed admission ticket. They’ll give you a room number. You then wait for the people to signal that you can go. This usually means all the test-takers have gotten their room number. Then you walk up to your room. When you’re in, the proctor there will probably check your ticket and maybe your ID (don’t remember). He or she may give you an assigned seat; if not, just sit down in a seat. Then you just listen and wait. Then you start the test. After a few sections, you are given like a 5-10 minute break in which you can eat or drink whatever you brought with you, use the bathroom, or just walk around. After resuming and taking another few sections, you are given another (shorter) break. Then one more time. Then you’re done.

You do need some type of photo id

UPDATE: I got a state id!! yay!

PS yes I know completely random and pointless bump but I thought I would let others know lol please just ignore this
