<p>I am writing an essay that will be sent to Harvard, Princeton and Yale. I have a photo that I think will work really well with this essay. How acceptable would it be to include the photo? Has anybody else done this?

<p>If the photo is directly related to your essay, then I can't how sending it in would hurt. Although, if you are using a photo because you are unable to describe in words whatever you're talking about, then it might come out negative. Basically, the photo should not be a supplement to your essay, it should be an addition.</p>
