Northwestern is beautiful, period.

Here are some of the pictures I took on campus about a month ago while I was visiting. It's beautiful!

Some more pictures! Even the cold can be pretty.

A morning on the Lakefill » North by Northwestern

That's stunning. Wow.

Northwestern is especially gorgeous after a snowfall when all the trees are white. The walk on Sheridan Rd. is breathtaking.

I visited Northwestern over the summer. It appealed to me as one of the most beautiful campuses I had seen (in pictures) before I even visited. My visit reinforced that.

There is some gothic architecture... I thought this building was stunning:

Sadly Deering library isn't indicative, but I think it's gorgeous (even if Frank Lloyd Wright thought it looked like a pig on its back).

This is why I like NU's campus better than even Stanford's. Some schools may have more impressive architecture...etc but very few can match NU in terms of scenery. To me, buildings and architecture, no matter how impressive they are, get old since they never change (not accounting for erosion over decades..lol). Sooner or later, you will walk right pass it without noticing. On the other hand, I never got tired of being close to the lake. :)

Is the Annie May Swift renovation nearing completion?

Yes, happily enough.

Sorry for such a big bump, but thanks.

Deering library IMO is the best building on campus. It’s just as nice inside as it is outside, too.

I agree, too bad they didn’t design more of the campus in the same style

Seconded.
